"I fell into the cycle in November 2023 when I woke up in the middle of the night in a panic. My ears were ringing, and I couldn’t stop the panic attack as I fixated on the noise, not understanding what was happening. I had just come out of a very stressful few years, constantly on high alert. Ironically, it was when I finally began to relax that the panic attacks hit.
I had experienced panic attacks and fallen into the cycle before, but I always resorted to medication without understanding what was happening in my body and mindset to trigger them.
At first, I tried a brain-rewiring program, but it was too overwhelming for me. It required me to dig into deeper issues from my past, which I wasn’t ready to face. Then I stumbled across another program that explained the physiological processes behind my symptoms. For the first time, the mystery of what was happening to me began to unravel.
I followed the free content as far as I could, but eventually, I realized I needed more help. I considered pursuing group counseling, but I felt a strong check in my spirit that it might not be the best path for my spiritual health. Still, I was desperate. Thankfully, the high cost of that program became a roadblock that prevented me from moving forward.
I had been talking to the Lord, asking if there was a program with a similar focus on science but that also incorporated Him into the process. That very night, I came across some of Emilee’s videos on YouTube. I reached out to her and was relieved to find that what she offered was exactly what I needed.
I’m so grateful for Emilee’s program and the guidance she and BG provided. Having encouragement along the journey made a huge difference, especially on bad days when the symptoms would return and disappointment set in. "I found Emilee at a time when I thought I had tried everything. It all started with a panic attack. Looking back now, I realize there may have been prior stressors—work, kids, money—but I didn’t recognize them at the time.
The night I had my first-ever panic attack, I genuinely thought I was dying. I was so scared that I had my husband drive me to the ER. I kissed my kids goodbye, not knowing what would happen next. After waiting in the ER for six hours, I was told nothing was wrong. What followed was months of non-stop panic and DPDR. I even wore a heart monitor for two days, and again, everything came back normal. How could this just be anxiety?
Then, I came across Emilee on a forum while researching my low iron. In April 2024, I joined her group coaching program, where I started learning and applying the IDEAL framework. Slowly, things began to improve. After months of practice, I began experiencing good moments, which eventually turned into good days.
Although I still had symptoms like stomach nausea and constant DPDR, I started to get little breaks from them. I could eat small amounts again and drive beyond my short commute to work. Most importantly, I began rediscovering the things I loved—camping and going for walks with my husband and kids.
Now, a year later, I’d say I’m about 90% recovered. I still have bad days or setbacks, but I know the good days are always just around the corner. I’m finally able to love my life, even with some lingering symptoms.
